Everyone who has been to Peru knows Cusco. Especially for Macchu Picchu I’d say.
We have had done such a distance, passed through so many obstacles that anyone who would have done just half of it would consider deserving it and rush to it, to see this “marvel of wonder” from the Incas.
I was just seeing it as a sort of archaeological Disneyworld. Therefore we chose not to go.
On the other hand we chose to fly our paraglides high up in the sacred valley, more fun!
This road from Bolivia all the way down to Nazca, ridden with Nadège and Sébastien will be a good and long roller cluster of road. Altimeter shows us 4300m and the day after 1200m, and the day after 4000m again.
1000kms together; Sébastien looks at us in a very strange way by some time…
Nazca
At last, we reach the very final descent from Altiplano to the sea level. Nazca will end up our Altiplano trip we started 2 months ago.
80kms of pure descent, no need of paddling, that’s why we chose not to at all: here starts a very strange race: starting, and riding our bikes without paddling, trying hard to keep the best aerodynamically position and beat the others “at the fourth yellow signal we see on the road”.
After so much of efforts it’s a great relief going fast without sweating!
