The return trip to our bikes doesn’t end up at Auckland airport. We have to cross both islands by hitchhiking, until Wanaka. In every car that picked us up, we have to introduce ourselves again and again and again. At the end, it cans become boring on such a long trip. But next to the point when the meeting-questions is done, we enjoy an interesting chat, and for the one who is behind he can have a little nap.

We tried again to cross the Cook Strait by sailboat. Unfortunately, after one week searching hard, we must give up to find any sailboat going to Picton and we decide to take the ferry… sadly.
