We plan together for the Tongariro crossing, the most famous and stunning volcanoes in New Zealand. This is where the Lord of the Rings set up their footages for the Mordor.

Two days of walk put us from the top of the crater to the beautiful lakes and the whole scramble area around. No flight seemed possible because of the sharp stones everywhere but I tend to think a takeoff could be managed from some steep sand areas close by the top of ‘Mount Doom’, Mt Ngauruhoe.
