‘Houston we have a problem’ or ‘Nadege’s Knee’

New Zealand part I - Posted On

Our first days on the bike together are far from being easy. Nadege gets a extreme bad pain on her knee, that prevents her from riding. I find myself bound to her by a string with which I can propulse both our burdens. Slow, very slow, and terribly depressing. Her pain is linked to the same she had in South America. What if she is forever disabled to ride? What about our dream in common, about our lifestyle, heart of our connection? ‘Wait and see’ becomes our philosophy.

Half hitchhiking for her and half biking – pulling for me, we arrive to the Tongariro National Park where some frends of her are visiting us and New Zealand.
